In the heart of Saint Paul, Minnesota, lives a man whose mission goes far beyond the soccer field.Nga R. Boe has become a driving force of unity and hope for the Karenni community—using sports, culture, and compassion to bring people together across generations and continents.

Education: Degree in Law Enforcement

• Career: Works at Saint Paul Public School and part-time as a Park & Recreation Leader with the Saint Paul Park & Recreation Center

• Entrepreneurship: Founder of Preh Soe Leh Food Truck, serving authentic Karenni flavors and friendship throughout Minnesota

• Family & Catering: Together with his wife Phumaw Moe Soe (Soe Meh), he runs a community catering service for parties, celebrations, and cultural events—sharing love, food, and tradition wherever they go.

Personal Life: Married in June 2024, Nga R. Boe always says, “My wife is the reason I’m where I am today.” Her strength and encouragement stand behind every success they achieve together.

Leadership & Vision

As the Founder & CEO of Karenni Sport Society, Nga R. Boe has built one of the most active networks of Karenni athletes and organizers in the world.

Today, Minnesota proudly hosts more Karenni sports events than any other state in the U.S.—from local leagues to national tournaments.

Nga R. Boe also coaches the boys’ soccer team at Como Park Senior High School, the very school where he once played in his youth.

Under his leadership, the Minnesota Karenni Team has claimed seven championships at the Karenni National Day Tournaments, a record that reflects both skill and community spirit.

Each year, he leads the Karenni 4th of July Festival, one of the largest gatherings that celebrates Karenni unity through sports, culture, and family.

The spirit of Preh Soe Leh Team has also spread far beyond the United States—reaching Thailand’s refugee camps, Australia, and other Karenni communities worldwide, all proudly carrying the same logo and message of solidarity.

This winter, he is launching the first-ever Karenni Futsal League in Minnesota, creating new opportunities for young players to grow, compete, and dream.
